Hydroponics
Our herbs are grown hydroponically indoors, so instead of growing under the sun and in the soil, we use LED grow lights and a recirculating system of nutrient-rich water. Growing indoors allows us produce high-quality herbs all year round, and growing hydroponically allows us to grow more produce on much less land and with much less water than conventional farming.
Clean + Safe
We are committed to the health and safety of our customers, so we never use harsh chemicals on our crops. We occasionally use natural organic (OMRI-certified) pest control products in our farm, and even though the products we use are safe for human consumption, we choose to administer them in ways that minimize their contact with the herbs you are eating.
Renewable Energy
While indoor hydroponics has many sustainability advantage, one challenge is that the grow lights require lots of electricity. In order to operate as sustainably as possible, we source all of our electricity from renewable energy sources through Xcel Energy's "Renewable Connect" program.
